Hi there, Mattel’s classic slogan “you can be anything” is exactly what Barbie meant to me as a child in the 90s. As an adult collector since 2016, to stage and style her today is a stress release and delightful continuation of that American icon. The makeup pallet or hair is the first inspiration for what outfit I choose for display. I use Ebay and Etsy for their endless one of a kind 1/6 scale garments an accessories by Mattel, Integrity Toys, and talented sellers! Then as the judges on Project Runway would say… EDIT.

Renaissance ladies

All second hand items came from Mattel or Ebay and are on made to move bodies.

The Barbie collector museum collection DaVinci doll has the original model muse body and hair styled by me. The other standing barbie has the Maleficent Disney film collection Aurora head with hair braided by me. The lamb and pearls give a Lucretzia Borgia portrait vibe, seriously the Showtime and Canal+ drama series of the Borgia papacy reign are fantastic.

The seated dolls are both hybrids one a re-rooted Shakira doll head and the other a Top Gun Maverick Barbie signature doll Phoenix Airplane jet Pilot head. Both have neutral face paints and why I made them represent music and art; understated elegance omitting tasteless embellishment.
